Allyn Gaestel is a writer and journalist who covers inequality and the human repercussions of politics. She currently lives in Lagos, Nigeria where she is a fellow with the Institute of Current World Affairs. In addition to her written work, she has reported documentary videos, including an award-winning short for the New York Times.
